Frosted Flowers are a multinational synth-pop outfit from Australia and the UK. Channelling the very best of 1980’s pop culture, to create their own unique sound as self proclaimed Electro Goth Romantics for the 21st Century.

Featuring on vocals London born, now Sydney based lead vocalist and front man Gregor Wilson formally from UK Punk/Mod band The Head and now of funsters MadFish. Augmented by London based multi-instrumentalist and programmer Richard Coppen, aka Dick Crippen, ex Tenpole Tudor, King Kurt and more recently of The Weird Things. Producer of Johnny Moped, The Sensible Gray Cells (Captain Sensible, Paul Gray, Marty Love), Chelsea, Wingmen (Baz Warne, Paul Gray, Leigh Heggarty, Marty Love), Chris Wilson (Flamin’ Groovies) and many more. A combined creative force, Gregor provides the songs and initial ideas, with arrangements, beats and production by Richard.

Frosted Flowers debut album ‘Pop Secret’ is planned for release in 2024, to be preceded by two new singles ‘Paradise Lost’ and ‘Major Tom’. Their second album ‘Glitterglam’ is still work in progress. Gregor is planning to return to Panther Studios sometime in 2023 to complete both projects.

Gregor is also the lead singer and guitarist with MadFish.

MadFish reached a certain notoriety with nationwide radio plays in the UK, with their 2014 UK World Cup Song winning anthem, ‘England’. Notably they were featured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live.

The song competition was filled with controversy, when the organiser Mark Bellinger closed down the website and did a runner on the final day of the competition. He refused to pay out the promised prizes, when his own multiple entries failed to win both the top World and the individual Country prizes.

Gregor was also previously with late 70’s UK Mod / Punk band The Head.

The Head are renown for their collectable 1980 double A sided single featuring ‘Nothing to Do In a Town Like Leatherhead’, as included on Gary Crowley’s 2017 Punk and New Wave compilation.

Derided both by Kenny Everett at the time, as a contender for the ‘Worlds Worst Record’ and by Melody Maker as being “Beery cheer… and little else”, it is today a sought after classic. NtDIaTLL is coupled with the John Peel and Nicky Horne (London’s Capital Radio – Your Mother Wouldn’t Like It) favourite, ‘University ‘79’.

Both songs were recorded and produced by Ian Shaw, now an established record producer, who went on to enjoy chart success with amongst others Nick Heyward from Haircut 100.
